PRESIDENTIAL Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) head Dante Jimenez said on Saturday that an informant has come forward with first-hand information about the corruption in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). “An Informant went to PACC office to personally hand carry photos of seemingly substandard Infrastructure roads and bridges in Marinduque,” Jimenez told The Manila Times in a statement, adding that the informant will provide more evidence in the coming days. “[The informant] promised to send documents and other evidence on the unabated corruption going on in DPWH in cahoots with some politicians in the province,” he added. This came following PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica’s revelation that some lawmakers were conspiring with DPWH personnel and project contractors to commit corruption. President Rodrigo Duterte earlier ordered the Department of Justice to extend its probe on corruption beyond the DPWH mess to cover the entire government bureaucracy.
