Jewellers start countrywide indefinite strikeBangladesh Jewellers Samity called an indefinite strike throughout the country alleging harassment by tax officials during their probe into Apan Jewellers.They demanded that the National Board of Revenue stop harassing them with raids and urged the government to draft a business-friendly import policy, reports bdnews24.com.The organisation made the decision at a meeting in their Baitul Mukarram Office, its general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwal said on Thursday.Later a press release was issued that says the ogranisation urged all to observe the strike until further notification.
