Two Jetstar flights from Wellington to Auckland have been cancelled today, frustrating dozens of passengers. The cancellations, blamed on crew being ill, come on the final day of the school holidays when many travellers are trying to return home. Fairfax reported that passengers had been left out of pocket, with some facing lengthy waits and longer routes, as a result of the 3.10pm and 6.20pm flights from Wellington to Auckland being cancelled today. Passengers had been offered refunds, offered flights on Monday or re-routed via Christchurch. The airline told Fairfax it had no choice but to cancel the flights and had notified passengers by text and email last night.
