Live Updates: Bathurst 1000

By Dale BudgeA second safety car at the wrong time has badly hurt Kiwi Shane Van Gisbergen's Bathurst 1000. His Red Bull Racing teammate and championship rival Jamie Whincup leads the race with Mark Winterbottom second, Kiwi Fabian Coulthard third and fellow Kiwi Scott McLaughlin in fourth. It took over half the race for the first safety car to come out at Bathurst but was deployed on lap 93 when Andrew Jones suffered a heavy crash at the top of the Mountain. Jones walked from the crash but the impact caused severe damage to the Team BOC Holden. The race sees cars complete 161 laps of the famous circuit and around six and a half hours of racing.
