Going into this series, Connor Hellebuyck welcomed the challenge of going head-to-head with one of the hottest goalies in the NHL. During that series, Hellebuyck learned a valuable lesson. After giving up four goals on the first 24 shots on goal he faced on Friday night, Hellebuyck and the Jets find themselves down 2-0 in this best-of-seven series. Through the first two games, the Jets haven’t been able to get their speed going as much as they would like. And while the Jets big guns have been going, the Blues are winning the secondary scoring battle to this point and that’s the other part of the reason they’ve got the early edge in this hard-fought series.
