The Jet2 flight was cut short, and the Boeing 737 instead touched down at Bilbao Airport in the borough of Loiu in Biscay at 2.25pm without further incident. The British low-cost airline sent another flight from Manchester to Bilbao to transfer the 180 disembarked passengers to their final destination in Malaga. Jet2 is the fourth largest scheduled airline in the UK and its main base is at Leeds Bradford Airport.
