Jays have shot to tie up series with Orioles

Where they stand: Following Tuesday night’s series-opening 3-1 loss to Baltimore, the Jays sit last in the AL East, 6 1/2 games back of the leading Red Sox. The Jays are 3 1/2 games behind the current second wild-card Twins, but are also just three games away from having the worst record in the AL. In the wild-card race the Jays sit behind the Yankees, Twins, Rays, Angels, Rangers, O’s, Royals and M’s. The Jays are 10-13 in June, but have remained 6 1/2 games out of first place in the standings in the AL East, the same deficit they had entering the month. The Jays have been 12-20 in intra-division games in the East and are 2-8 vs. the Orioles.
