CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa will inaugurate a sprawling two-acre park in Mathur MMDA Colony in Manali here on Wednesday.The Rs 2.4 crore 'Mathur MMDA Poonga' includes a skating rink for children, play area, a meditation hall, a warm-up arena where exercises or martial arts can be taught, a walking track, an 8-shaped walking path and a pebble-filled walking path. "Work has been going on for the past two years. We have been allowing people to use parts of the park that have been completed," said a senior Chennai Corporation official. "This could possibly be the biggest park in north Chennai. Earlier, it was the Anna Park in Royapuram," the official said.
