Photo: Aniruddha Chowdhury/MintMumbai: Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd on Tuesday alleged that despite repeated reminders and meetings, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Vodafone India Ltd and Idea Cellular Ltd have not shown any real intent to resolve the issue of interconnection. “Hardly any new interconnection capacity has been made operational by any of the three operators in the last 15 days,” Jio said in a statement. Jio said its immediate requirement is 4,000-5,000 E1s (digital transmission links) per operator, and that at the current rate, the incumbent operators have not demonstrated any real intent to resolve this issue. Jio also alleged that rival companies are rejecting requests from their customers to switch to Jio.
