Jason Christie's Commonwealth Games appeal dismissed

Jason Christie's Commonwealth Games appeal dismissedJOHN COWPLAND/PHOTOSPORT Tasman rider Jason Christie celebrates after winning the elite road national championships earlier this year. Jason Christie will not be riding at the Commonwealth Games, after the national road cycling champion had his appeal dismissed by the New Zealand Sports Tribunal. Jack Bauer will lead New Zealand in the men's road race, alongside Alex Frame, Shane Archbold and James Oram. After winning the national championships in January - his second title in three years - Christie told Stuff that he hoped the result would lead to his first Commonwealth Games selection. Christie challenged the selection of every rider other than Bauer, who has been confirmed as New Zealand's designated leader.
