Lower Hutt couple Te Waka and Hune Kerehoma know that more than most. Both have medical conditions and believe they were prioritised incorrectly on a Housing New Zealand waiting list. Last year, Te Waka and Hune were living in temporary emergency housing in Wainuiomata. They had applied for housing through Housing New Zealand (HNZ), both of them requiring a warm, one-storey house due to health complications.
