Japanese star channels inner Paul Pogba with 35-second penalty run-up

Something went wrong, please try again later. A Japanese football has potentially set the world record for the slowest run up, using 35 seconds to take his penalty. With youth comes innovative free-kick and corner techniques which were already on display throughout, but it was the penalty shootout between Ryutsu Keizai Ogashi and Kindai Wakayama that caught the headlines. It was an extreme mixture of Pogba and Jorginho in what was only the sides second penalty of the shootout, creating another bizarre footballing moment from Japan. It would have been beyond embarrassing if the penalty was missed, and thankfully Pogba is no where near Manchester United's penalties, meaning that he won't have many opportunities to one-up the Japanese star.
