Four years ago, on August 5, 2019, Article 370 of the Indian constitution was abrogated. Article 370 was a temporary provision that enabled a separate constitution for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Over the years, there was considerable discussion on whether Article 370 had outlived its utility. It is a little too early to speculate on the economic consequences of the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.
