Jammu: In a major decision, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday created a separate division for Ladakh, which was part of the Kashmir division till now. "Ladakh created as a separate administrative and revenue division. Jammu and Kashmir will have three divisions: Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir," it said. This was given effect by enacting the Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Act, 1997," the order said. Taking all this into consideration, the administration has decided to create a separate administrative and revenue division for Ladakh, they said.
