New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch DD Arunprabha, a 24x7 Doordarshan satellite channel for Arunachal Pradesh and lay the foundation stone of a permanent campus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in the state on Saturday. The channel will focus on the rich tradition and diversity of local culture in Arunachal Pradesh. The new FTII campus will be the institution’s third, the first two being FTII Pune and SRFTI Kolkata. It is the first Film and Television Institute of the north east region. To be executed by CPWD (Central Public Works Department), it is expected to be completed in 25 months, the statement said.
