Google has fired the engineer behind an anti-diversity missive that reignited heated debate over treatment of women in Silicon Valley, including a string of sexual harassment scandals. Damore’s conduct online, in fact, says a lot about why Google was right to fire him in the first place, and why his allies were wrong to take his side. James Damore, an ex-Google employee who wrote a controversial memo arguing the merits of gender and diversity programs, was interviewed by two YouTubers.
