SHAH ALAM: Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos has been released on police bail Saturday evening although his remand was only supposed to expire on Sunday. According to a police source, he was released at about 7pm from the Shah Alam district police headquarters. They are being investigated under Section 143 of the Penal Code for unlawful assembly and Section 268 for public nuisance. Immediately after his release, Jamal spoke to the press outside the police headquarters building, saying that he was thankful for the early release. "Nevertheless, I am still thankful to the police for their swift work that has made our early release possible," he added.
