Abdul Alim . Photo: BSSDHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate Md. Abdul Alim has been elected unofficially from the Bagerhat-4 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election. He secured 1,16,067 votes while his nearest rival, BNP-nominated candidate Som Nath Dey, received 98,326 votes. In the referendum held alongside the parliamentary election in the constituency, 1,31,231 voters cast 'Yes' votes, while 80,381 voted 'No'.
