more-inThe Second District and Sessions Court here has sentenced a rape accused, Reddappa (35), to seven years imprisonment and slapped a fine of ₹ 15,000. Reddappa, a resident of Hodali in Srinivasapur taluk, kidnapped a minor girl from the same village on April 8, 2014. They warned Reddappa not to pester their daughter in future but did not file a complaint. However, Reddappa attempted to kidnap the girl again on July 17, 2014, by entering the house forcibly. Rekha, in her judgement on Tuesday, sentenced Reddappa to jail term and slapped the fine.
