Several activists of Inqilab Mancha, including Abdullah Al Jaber, general secretary of the organization, and Salauddin Ammar, general secretary of the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (Rucsu), were injured Friday during a protest demanding justice for the killing of the group’s spokesperson, Sharif Osman Hadi. Police reportedly tried to block the march, prompting protesters to attempt breaking through barricades. Earlier in the afternoon, Inqilab Mancha leaders and activists had staged a march from Shahbagh toward the residence of Chief Adviser Jamuna. Tensions escalated when protesters tried to push through the barriers, leading to confrontations and a police chase. Protesters reportedly threw bricks and stones, and eyewitnesses said several activists were injured by splinters from sound grenades.
