Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Muhibullah Babunagari has said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami would “destroy the country” if it comes to power, saying that voting for the party is not “permissible” for Muslims. He made the remarks while addressing a program at Kajirhat Boro Madrasa in Fatikchhari Upazila, organized to mark the completion of the recitation of Bukhari Sharif on Thursday evening. Speaking in the regional Chittagong dialect, Babunagari said: “I do not consider this an election; it is a jihad. If this group comes to power, it will destroy Bangladesh.
