For the 20-year-old Kedahan who is the youngest among three siblings, it was an apprehensive yet rewarding experience in his journey to becoming a YK scholar. “As I went along, I learned a lot about myself, saw myself grow and enjoyed the beauty of the process even before being a YK scholar, ” said Ang. Kuala Lumpur-based Abbernaa Dhevi Kukananthan shared Ang’s gratitude at being selected for the YK scholarship. On challenges as a YK scholar, she said that one is expected to perform, but to her that challenges her to strive for the best.
