JD(U) expels party’s Dalit face in Bihar pre-poll churn

Upset over ‘neglect’ in the ruling alliance, Shyam Rajak may return to the RJD, which expelled three MLAs. Ahead of the Assembly elections, Bihar Minister Shyam Rajak is likely to return to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) from the Janata Dal(U) on Monday. Sources said Mr. Rajak, Phulwarisharief MLA, was hurt over “neglect” in the party. Mr. Rajak, who was with the RJD and close to RJD chief Lalu Prasad, quit the party in 2009 and joined the JD(U). However, after Nitish Kumar parted ways with the RJD to form the National Democratic Alliance government, Mr. Rajak was made the Industries Minister.
