Taika Waititi won't be asking the other nominees to pretend to be asleep when Jojo Rabbit goes up for six Oscars at this year's ceremony. At the 2005 Academy Awards Waititi - nominated for his short film Two Cars, One Night - famously feigned sleep when his category was announced. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly after this morning's nomination announcement, Waititi said he would "sure as hell" not do the same thing on February 10. Jordan Strauss Jojo Rabbit's 12-year-old star Roman Griffin Davis was nominated for a Golden Globe and won the Critics Choice Award for Best Young Actor but missed out on an Oscar nod. Jojo Rabbit is nominated in the categories of Best Picture, Supporting Actress (for Scarlett Johansson), Adapted Screenplay, Costume Design, Film Editing and Production Design at the 2020 Academy Awards.
