Photo: Gerald EskenaziIf you’re a New Yorker, you’re constantly surprised by finding new, eye-opening events, museums, buildings, neighborhoods. One such quiet gem is the Grolier Club, tucked unobtrusively on East 60th Street between Madison and Park avenues. He is a neurologist based in New Jersey and has what the club calls the “finest magazine collection in private hands.”It certainly would be hard to beat. And, yes, there was a first issue of TV Guide, and, surprisingly a magazine from 1927 called All About Television. This special magazine exhibit goes on through April 24.
