The 84-year-old was rushed to the Islamic Bank Central Hospital just before the evening prayers on Monday, said IOJ Secretary General Mufti Foyzullah. Islami Oikya Jote (IOJ), is one of the allies in the Awami League-led 14-party Grand Alliance. In 2017, the party wrote to the ruling party expressing their wish to share constituencies in the polls. It became an ally of the ruling Awami League after a delegation of its senior leaders went to the Ganobhaban in to hold a dialogue with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
