A parking sign put up in a Tauranga car park is being removed due to offensive language. The sign, in place at the Greerton shops on a pole reserving mobility parking, reads: “this is not a car park for d....... Show some respect.”A member of the community put the sign up at the end of 2020. They said people using mobility parks who didn't need them was an ongoing issue. In 2019 a Hamilton City councillor made a tearful apology for parking in a disabled parking spot during a council event. Siggi Henry parked her signed campaign car over a disabled parking spot at the Hamilton Gardens.
