The Supreme Court on Friday came down heavily on the Centre for not filing its response in a matter pertaining to road accidents. “You (Centre) have not filed counter affidavit for more than a year, is this a panchayat going on here?” Justice TS Thakur was quoted by news agency ANI. The news comes a day after a pedestrian was hit by a freight rickshaw and left bleeding to death in Delhi. Attorney General Mukul Rohatagi has assured the Supreme Court that the response will be filed within three weeks. The freight rickshaw driver was arrested by the police on Thursday.
