Have the Cowboys actually “Dakked” another contract situation with a key member of the offense? In the case of Dalton Schultz, the Cowboys’ sturdy tight end has been hit with the franchise tag and is doing his dutiful part to act insulted. Schultz had good receiving numbers in his first season as a starter after Blake Jarwin was injured in 2020. Then again, Schultz has better wide receivers around him although I suspect Dez Bryant would dispute this claim. Even with that, if the franchise tag can be viewed as punishment for the likes of Dalton Schultz, I think we’ve completely lost our way.
