Iran’s president said Wednesday the country will stop complying with parts of an Obama-era nuclear deal and set a 60-day deadline for new terms of the landmark pact before resuming higher uranium enrichment. “But diplomacy with a new language and a new logic.”The deal saw sanctions lifted on Iran in exchange for limits in its nuclear program. Under the deal, Iran limited its stockpile of low-enriched uranium to 660 pounds to prevent it from seeking nuclear weapons. Currently, Iran limits enriching uranium to 3.67 percent, which is used for nuclear power plants, not nuclear weapons. Such reactors produce plutonium that can be used in nuclear weapons.
