Further to that, Ioane was squeezed for time around this assigned sitdown. So, it was encouraging, to say the least, to hear Ioane sheepishly admit that this was no time to talk anything up, and that actions would speak louder than any words possibly could. When they re-upped with NZ Rugby last year they also resisted overtures to step into a less challenging Super Rugby environment. Ioane is adamant that, at 21, he remains some way from the player he can be.
