LAHORE : The Punjab Police have formally initiated an investigation into the disruption that occurred during Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s visit to the Punjab Assembly. The Punjab Assembly Secretariat has been informed about the proceedings. Earlier, the report prepared by a committee formed by Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan was sent to the IG Punjab. The report also mentioned that the name of a convicted individual, Haider Majeed, was included in the list provided by the opposition. Statements from assembly security personnel present at the time have been recorded by the Assembly Secretariat for further review.
