Keith Bush was convicted of the murder and attempted rape of a teenage girl in Bellport, N.Y., that occurred when he was 17 years old. He served 33 years in prison and remains under state supervision as a lifetime parolee and a level-three sex offender. Mr. Bush, now 62 years old and living in Connecticut, has maintained his innocence, saying police beat him and coerced him to sign a false confession that he never read.
