For the past four years Wards, of Invercargill, has been holding video gaming events in Invercargil, Gore, Balclutha and Dunedine to help youths socialise. He’d been operating with 20 computers but will soon start on repurposing the 100 donated by H & J Smith Department Stores and Mitre 10 MEGA Invercargill and Queenstown. “My goal now is to get these 100 computers up and running and in front of 100 kids in the community.”Wards thought he organised 60 or 70 events a year and about 2000 children participated in total.
