Today, The Times’s real estate editor, Vivian Toy, tells us about how her team is expanding its coverage of the Golden State:The Times this week turns its eye toward real estate in California and introduces two new weekly columns: “What You Get in California” and “Living In.”Every Monday, the “What You Get” column will feature three properties from around the state at a specific price point. This week, our reporter searched for $550,000 homes and settled on a studio apartment in the 1898 Castle Green in Pasadena, a modernist retreat at Sea Ranch and a bungalow with a guesthouse in the Bay Area.
