International experts to guide education reforms View(s):The support of international experts have been obtained to make recommendations and evaluate the proposed education reforms as the Education Ministry were taking all precautions in reviewing the reforms. Specialised committees are also reviewing all modules relevant to Grade 6 education reforms while teacher training and training of trainers are being carried out regarding the reforms. The Parliamentary Sub-Committee on Education Reforms met on Tuesday at Parliament under the patronage of Prime Minister and Education Minister Harini Amarasuriya. The current progress of the education reform process and the way forward were discussed in detail. The meeting was attended by Members of both the Government and the Opposition, along with officials from the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.
