The intergenerational nature of drug-related crime is a worrying trend considering the rise of meth production and consumption across the country. Some were referred to Child, Youth and Family. Police, and Child, Youth and Family say they don't know exactly how many children are affected by the rising meth trade. FAIRFAX NZ CYF says children from drug families often lack adequate supervision, experience inconsistent parental guidance, do worse at school, and suffer from increased health problems.
