PETALING JAYA: About 60 people of different faiths got together for a breaking of fast event to promote unity, peace and harmony among Malaysians. It is our aspiration, not just to live in harmony but to promote and encourage unity in our plural society. GUM president Shah Kirit Kakulal Govindji said the theme this year was “Common Terms Between Us and You”. “If we want to talk about the common terms between Chris­tianity and Islam, we will find a lot of similarities. Shah Kirit said that Malaysians were blessed with peace and unity but the people must also make an effort to preserve harmony.
