Karin McCracken in her solo performance of Yes, Yes, Yes, directed by Eleanor Bishop, which focuses on consent and healthy relationships. Unlike many narratives around consent, Yes, Yes, Yes focused on highlighting the positive side of healthy relationships and why they should be a valuable part of people’s lives. The interactive solo performance, directed by Bishop and performed by McCracken ran at Christchurch’s Court Theatre last week, seen by about 900 Canterbury high school students. Rangi Ruru Girls’ School’s health teacher Leigh Allan went to the show with the school’s Year 11, 12, and 13 students. “We knew it was a very confronting show, which is what we thought was needed at the time, but we knew that wasn’t quite right for a younger audience.”It led to the creation of Yes, Yes, Yes produced by Zanetti Productions and commissioned by Auckland Live.
