Unfortunately, he sent the ball sailing into the wrong net. From almost halfway, the midfielder sent the ball rocketing over his goalkeeper's head and into the back of the net in what the commentator called "the most extraordinary own goal I think I've ever seen in football." However, it didn't prove too costly as Milan held on for a 2-1 win.
