The BJP leadership here has dismissed it as a ‘made-up story’ scripted by the CPI(M) and the district police. Police officers here said there was a confidential intelligence input from the Special Branch about the threat. An RSS worker from Venduttayi, he is an absconding accused in the murder of CPI(M) worker K. Mohanan here. The police said that Mr. Jayarajan already had adequate security.
