After 13,000 hours of cleaning, the four-bedroom Salisbury property has been bought by Wiltshire Council who plan to offer it to locals in line with their affordable housing policy. The home has been lying empty since the an assassination attempt on Mr Skripal, 69, and his daughter, Yulia, 37, three years ago. And now Wiltshire Council have declared it will "rebuild and refurnish" the home ready for sale on a shared ownership basis. It is believed Mr Skripal, who was moved to a secret hideout following the attacks, has been advised not to return for security reasons. Three months after the Skripals were targeted, Dawn Sturgess and Charlie Rowley fell ill seven miles away from Salisbury in Amesbury.
