Inquirer joins effort to help Taal Volcano victims


CALACA, Batangas–The Inquirer Group of Companies on Wednesday joined the government and nongovernmental organizations in providing aid for families affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano. ADVERTISEMENTInquirer foundation, the company’s social development arm, set up a soup kitchen and extended relief goods to evacuation centers in Calaca town in Batangas province. Evacuees from the towns of Talisay, Lemery, Agoncillo, and Laurel received ecobags containing canned goods, water, medicines, face masks, and flashlight with batteries. They also distributed chicken arroz caldo, eggs, and water to displaced residents temporarily sheltered at Calantas Elementary School and Lumbang Nabata Elementary School.
