The senator said establishing permanent evacuation centers with the necessary facilities will address issues encountered by evacuees, such as congestion, exposure to hazards, and lack of facilities. “We traditionally use schools as evacuation centers every time there is a calamity or natural disaster. 747 or An Act Establishing Evacuation Centers in Every Municipality and City, Providing For The Necessary Facilities, Ensuring Their Structural Capacity, and Appropriating Funds which mandates all municipalities and cities to construct their respective evacuation centers.
