This lettuce type grows upright with leaves having little contact with soil. It has a loose head of large leaves and even green colour with a tinge of red. Butter crunch lettuce is a cool-weather crop with a handful of health benefits. This lettuce also contains fat, proteins, carbohydrates, sugar and dietary fibre and minerals like zinc, calcium, sodium, magnesium, phosphorous, and potassium.
