Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of Infosys Board +N R Narayana Murthy. +NEW DELHI: On Saturday, IT giant Infosys announced the appointment of Salil S Parekh as the new CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and MD ( Managing Director) of the company. Parekh will take over from January 2.In a filing to the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange), the company stated that the appointment has been made for a period of five years. It further said that the appointment has been made based on the recommendation of Nomination and Remuneration Committee.Currently, Parekh is a member of the Group Executive Board at French IT services company Capgemini . Infosys interim CEO Pravin Rao will be re-designated as the chief operating officer of the company.The latest development is expected to bring end to the churn in the company which began after Vishal Sikka resigned from the post of MD and CEO of Infosys on August 18 following a spat with the founder members including(With inputs from agencies)
