On a typical night during the latest escalation between US-Israel and Iran, thousands of people around the world are following the war through open-source dashboards instead of news channels. Across the internet, developers and open-source intelligence enthusiasts have begun “vibe-coding” improvised “war rooms”, that assemble data feeds, maps, CCTV camera feeds, and social media streams using AI coding tools, primarily Claude code. The trend has accelerated during the war on Iran, transforming how conflicts are observed, analysed and consumed online.
