Inflation outlook faces rising upside risks: CBE

Inflation developmentsOn inflation, the MPC noted that annual headline inflation rose to 13.4% in February 2026, up from 11.9% in January, while core inflation increased to 12.7% from 11.2% over the same period. The committee said this approach will help anchor inflation expectations, contain price pressures, and restore the downward trajectory of inflation.
