A 10-month-old infant is dead after a carbon monoxide leak at a Barrie home. The woman and the infant were found unresponsive at their home near Yonge St. and D’Ambrosio Dr. on Sunday morning, said Barrie Fire public information officer Samantha Hoffmann. All three were taken to a local hospital in Barrie, where the infant later died. Hoffmann said the mother and toddler have been moved to a Toronto trauma centre. The father of the children called emergency services after arriving home around 8:30 a.m., Hoffmann said, adding the carbon monoxide level was at 300 parts per million.
