Madhya Pradesh BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya, arrested for assaulting a municipal official, was granted bail by a special Bhopal court on Saturday. On Wednesday, Vijayvargiya was refused a bail hearing from the sessions court in Indore saying it had no jurisdiction. The special court on Saturday heard his plea and granted him bail. A video of the assault went viral on social media, after which police filed an FIR against Akash and arrested him. Meanwhile, Indore Municipal Corporation pulled down posters praising Vijayvargiya on Friday.
